This is something that may concern some people. Check out this quote from the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District's site: The 1st phase of the project doesn't even include the Peachtree Road corridor, only the loop from Centennial Park to the Georgia World Congress Center, to Philips Arena, to the Georgia Aquarium -- ALL of which are in the same geographic area. Auburn Avenue is also included, as the route goes to the King Center as well. However, what is concerning is the fact that monies haven't been allocated for the biggest portion of the project, which is the north-south route. "As the become available..." basically means that planners hope this will happen, but nothing has been written in stone. The route is great for tourists who want to see cool downtown attractions, but I think the big selling points need to be made clear to locals who would need to continue use of the system between busy tourist seasons. What do you think? Yay or nay?
